Join us in 2009 for our annual
springtime Best of the Bluegrass celebration!
Here's a snapshot of events scheduled for
2009:

Bed Race: The
first Downtown bed Race held in 2008 was such a success that we are
bringing it back for 2009. We expect it to be bigger and
better, so if you plan to enter, get an early start on building your
bed!

Pub Crawl:
Always
a favorite, the Downtown Pub Crawl will again include a large
selection of Downtown pubs to sample, with special drinks available
only to registered Pub-Crawlers.

Concert: A
headlining act to be announced will be scheduled to appear during
the Best of the Bluegrass celebration.

Chili in Cheapside Park:
New this year to the BOB event lineup, our first Chili
Cook-off aims to bring out the best chili cooks in the Bluegrass
region. Come to sample the selection and watch the judging!

Kentucky Star Awards: Usually
held in the Autumn of each year, the KY Star Awards will be moved to
be included in the Best of the Bluegrass Celebration. KY Star
Awards are given to artists from or in the state of Kentucky who
have made an impact on their art field. Read

Thoroughbred
Racing at Keeneland: The Toyota Blue Grass
Stakes is a Grade I race for 3yo going a 1 1/8 miles over Keeneland’s
Polytrack. Purse is $750,000; nomination fee is $200.
